I wish I would have had my camera with me today when I was at the supermarket. I never seem to have one when I need it or I have left my phone in the car.
I'm not picking on anyone I'm just letting you know what I saw at the supermarket. You've probably seen the same things, maybe at different places that leave you shaking your head in bewilderment.
When I was walking from the parking lot into the store I noticed that the Fire Marshall's car was parked in the fire lane. I find that extremely troubling, don't you? I know there was a good chance that he was there on official business. In fact, I'm absolutely sure of it.
But, he wasn't. I overheard him tell somebody that he had just popped in to get something from the deli.
When I finished my shopping and was exiting the store I noticed a large van parked in the fire lane almost blocking the exit. (They must have just popped in to get something from the deli too.)
Anyhow, I watched a police officer (talking on his cell phone) look directly at the person in the van. I thought he was at least going to tell the lady to move.
Nope, he drove right on past and nearly ran over the old couple that were in the crosswalk.
How can our public officials expect us to follow the rules when they don't? Makes you question things, doesn't it? |

It does make ya wonder doesn't it? I guess fire lane is really reserved parking for the fire marshall.
Keep questioning all public officials. Keep 'em on their toes!
